26/27 Opening Day
Hot cocoa and lift-line swag set the tone for Coppercolorado's 26/27 Opening Day on Friday, November 6, 2026 at Center Village. The first 50 guests in the lift line can claim sweet gear, and music fills Eagle's Landing in the morning and Aerie through the day. The resort kicks off its new winter season with a full day of festivities across the mountain.
Barn Bash
Barn Bash brings a DJ set, giveaways, a Backflip Factory and an Intro to Skate clinic to Center Village on Friday, November 6. Copper Mountain is throwing the party at 209 Ten Mile Circle, with the DJ and skate sessions built around the Barn Bash celebration. The event pairs an Intro to Skate clinic with a Backflip Factory, giving newcomers and seasoned riders a reason to stop by. Fun Fact: Copper Mountain is located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado, off Interstate 70.
Snowsation
Copper's Annual Snowsation brings free live music from Próxima Parada and CB3 to Eagle's Landing, alongside games and sweepstakes to celebrate the start of the 2026/27 winter season. The event runs at Center Village, 209 Ten Mile Circle, Copper Mountain, CO 80443, with CB3 taking the stage at 12:00 PM and Próxima Parada at 1:30 PM. Admission is free, so the dancing for snow costs nothing but the drive up. Fun Fact: It offers 2,465 acres of skiable terrain.
Thanksgiving Buffet at JJ's Rocky Mountain Tavern
A Thanksgiving spread of smoked Red Bird turkey, herb and butter dressing, whipped potatoes, and candied sweet potatoes comes to JJ's Rocky Mountain Tavern at Copper Mountain's Center Village. Adults pay $38 per person, children 12 and under pay $20, and active Copper Mountain employees pay $20. Reservations are recommended, though walk-ins are welcome. Fun Fact: The terrain is naturally divided into beginner, intermediate, and expert areas, with each zone separated by the mountain's geography.
Stifel Copper Cup
The Stifel Copper Cup brings an Audi FIS Ski World Cup stop to Copper Mountain over Thanksgiving weekend, with the world's top men's alpine skiers racing Super-G and Giant Slalom. The event marks the first domestic men's stop on the World Cup circuit and brings race festivities, award ceremonies, and a vendor village to Center Village. Race schedules, course maps, and VIP experiences are available through the resort.
Toyota U.S. Grand Prix
Top freeskiers and snowboarders head to Copper Mountain's legendary 22-foot Superpipe in Center Village for the Toyota U. S. Grand Prix. Competition runs December 17 through 20, 2026, with snowboard halfpipe finals on Saturday and freeski halfpipe finals on Sunday.
Holiday Celebration
Holiday Celebration returns to Copper Mountain's Center Village with an on-mountain parade, DJ, torchlight parade and fireworks. Skiers and riders can spend the day on the slopes before the free festivities begin at Eagle's Landing. A fireworks display caps the celebration after the torchlight parade.
New Year's Eve at Copper
Center Village sets the stage for Copper's New Year's Eve celebration with a DJ set, torchlight parade, and fireworks. The free event unfolds at 209 Ten Mile Circle in Copper Mountain. Guests can take their last laps of the year before the evening show begins.
Uphill Race Series presented by Mammut | Challenge 1
Copper joins forces with Swiss premium outdoor brand Mammut to present a series of uphill challenges. Whether you are a Skimo expert or just beginning with touring, join us for Copper’s Winter Race Series. This exciting program, presented by our partners at Mammut, will welcome uphill skiers of all abilities to come enjoy Copper in a new, different way! You will be bib-timed and have a 2 hour window to complete each challenge.
U.S. Revolution Tour
Today's top junior athletes compete in halfpipe & slopestyle. The U. S. Revolution Tour is a series of competitions consisting of Halfpipe, Slopestyle, and Big Air.
Safetyfest
Avalanche dog demos and toboggan races bring Copper Mountain's Safetyfest to Center Village, where the resort recognizes National Ski Area Association's Safety Awareness Month. The annual celebration pairs free demonstrations with daily prize drawings, and visitors can collect a Safetyfest Passport to meet organizations in Eagle's Landing. Giveaways and hands-on safety education round out the weekend.
IFSA Freeride World Qualifier & Junior Freeride Series
Freeride World Qualifier for big mountain athletes going down in Copper Bowl Copper will be hosting IFSA Freeski & Snowboard competitions for all ages. Up and coming athletes will take on some of Copper’s toughest terrain. Spectators may watch from outside venue boundaries in Spaulding Bowl. Participation in this event is by invitation only/ registration through IFSA.

Alpine, cross country, snowboarding, and snowshoe events. Copper is beyond proud to be the official host resort for the annual Special Olympics State Winter Games. More than 200 athletes will participate in Alpine, Cross Country, Snowboarding, and Snowshoe events.
