Fun Fact:
Did you know, Benjamin Franklin was half-joking when he made the suggestion for Daylight Savings Time? Over a century before Daylight Savings Time became popularized and adopted by any major country, Benjamin Franklin proposed a concept similar to Daylight Savings Time in his satirical essay in 1784. The credit for Daylight Savings Time however, typically goes to George Vernon Hudson, a New Zealand artist, who first proposed the idea in his 1895 paper.
