    If you're new to our service, then welcome to CalendarX, a service provided by AddEvent, Inc. Below you'll find the questions we are asked the most. If you have any questions regarding the use of our service, please contact us at support@addevent.com or contact the provider of the calendar you want to follow.

    What is CalendarX

    CalendarX is a calendar you can follow. When you follow a CalendarX calendar, the events in the calendar automatically appear in your own calendar. When the provider of the calendar make updates to the calendar you follow, your calendar is updated with the events.

    Who uses CalendarX?

    All sorts of companies and organizations use CalendarX, and for many different purposes. Our users are companies, online shops, non-profit organizations, sports clubs, schools, universities, conferences, retail and many more.

    If I follow a calendar. Can the provider access / control my calendar?

    No, neither the provider nor CalendarX can access or control your calendar.

    When you follow a calendar on CalendarX, a link between your calendar and CalendarX is created. The link is a "request only" link. When the provider updates the calendar you follow, your calendar requests CalendarX for updates. Our service provides your calendar with the updated events.

    How do I follow a calendar?

    Following a CalendarX calendar is very simple. Select the calendar service you use in the list of available calendars. Please notice: The provider of the calendar may require that you fill out some information about yourself prior to following a calendar.

    If you select:

    Apple

    • You will be prompted by your browser or device asking you, if you want to subscribe to the calendar.

    Google

    • You will be redirected to Google Calendar where you will be asked if you want to subscribe to the calendar.

    Outlook

    • You will be prompted by your browser or device asking you, if you want to subscribe to the calendar.

    Outlook.com

    • You will be redirected to Outlook.com where you will be asked if you want to subscribe to the calendar.

    Yahoo

    • You will be redirected to Yahoo Calendar where you will be asked if you want to subscribe to the calendar.

    Other

    • You will be prompted by your browser or device asking you, if you want to subscribe to the calendar.

    How do I un-follow a calendar?

    Un-following a calendar is simple and depends on the calendar service you use.

    Unsubscribe from your Mac:

    • Open up Apple Calendar
    • Click on the Calendar button (top left-hand side of the calendar) to show all your calendars
    • Right-click on the name of the calendar you wish to delete and select Delete

    Unsubscribe from your iPhone:

    Method #1 (iOS >= 10)

    • Go to the Settings app
    • Go to Accounts & Passwords
    • Go to Subscribed Calendars
    • Select the calendar you wish to delete
    • Select Delete Account
    • Select Delete again to confirm

    Method #2 (iOS >= 10)

    • Open the calendar app
    • Click the "Calendars" link at the bottom of the screen
    • Find the calendar feed you want to remove in the list
    • Uncheck the checkbox to unsubscribe the calendar
    • You might be able to delete the calendar as well. Click the (i) at the right of the calendar title.
      Scroll down to the bottom. If there's a "Delete Calendar" button at the bottom you can delete the calendar.

    Old method (depends on your iOS)

    • Go to the Settings app
    • Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    • Go to Subscribed Calendars
    • Select the calendar you wish to delete
    • Select Delete Account
    • Select Delete again to confirm

    Unsubscribe from Google Calendar:

    • When you are in Google Calendar, look on the left hand side for "Other Calendars", click "Arrow", select "Settings".
    • Locate the calendar you wish to delete and on the far right-hand side, select Unsubscribe.
    • Select Unsubscribe again at the prompt

    Unsubscribe from Outlook 2010:

    • Go to the Calendar and find the list of calendars on the left hand side
    • Right-click on the calendar you wish to delete, click on "Delete Calendar Name" (or you can leave the calendar and just uncheck temporarily)

    Unsubscribe from Outlook.com

    • Go to the Calendar and find the list of "Other calendars" on the left side.
    • Right click on the calendar you wish to delete, click "Remove" in the context menu.

    Unsubscribe from Yahoo Calendar

    • Go to the Calendar and find the list of "Other calendars" on the left side.
    • Hold the mouse over the calendar you wish to delete, an "Arrow" appears on the right, click the "Arrow". Click the "Unfollow" link in the context menu.
